Breakfast Club.

We offer a cereal/toast option with fruit and a cup of water/milk.

Registration.

The children take their coats and bags off and then join us on the carpet. We spend this time signing the children in, singing our hello how are you song followed by morning yoga stretches/action songs. The children then find their own ticket with their picture on and self register themselves in for the day before going off to explore the hall.

Morning Session.

Free Play/ Planned Activities. Our hall is separated into different area. We change this up weekly to keep the children’s interests. We offer a range of learning experiences which include role play, small world, reading area, mark making, sensory messy play and more.

Tidy up time.

We encourage all children to help tidy up our areas at Pre School. Our boxes are clearly labelled so the children have a good understanding of where things go. We use stickers as a way of encouragement for the children during this time.

Snack Time.

Once we have finished tidying we wash our hands ready for snack! We offer a fruit or veg with a carby option such as breadstick/cracker. We also offer milk or water. We take into account any allergies we may have within the setting during this time.

Outdoor Learning.

After Snack time we then go into our garden. We are very lucky to have a large, partially covered garden. We offer play experiences such as water play, role play and sand play aswell as physical activites such as climbing and riding our bikes/cars. During this time nappies are changed by a staff member inside also.

Preparing for lunch.

During this time we get the morning session only children ready for home time. For the children that stay all day we sit down together to sing songs/read a story before they go inside to wash hands and have their lunch.

Lunch Club.

During this time staff members sit with a group of children. We listen to relaxing music as the children eat their food.

Afternoon Session.

We are lucky where we are located as we have so many child friendly places to visit nearby. Weather dependent, we try to get out most afternoons! We visit places such as our local library, the local church, we have two parks very close by also.

Getting ready for Home Time.

Just before our afternoon session comes to an end we sit down with the children and talk about our day; what we have enjoyed, how we have helped our friends, what we have achieved. We sing songs/read a story also during this time before the children go back to their parent / carer.
